On May 8, 2023 Madyson Fitzgerald, a former Urban Views RVA high school Scholar of the Week winner and contributing writer, graduated from the University of Richmond’s Jepson School of Leadership Studies. Madyson earned her Bachelor of Arts degree with the Magna Cum Laude distinction.
The University of Richmond awarded more than 1,000 degrees during the 2023 Commencement ceremonies, including 786 undergraduate bachelor’s degrees from the School of Arts & Sciences, Robins School of Business, and Jepson School of Leadership Studies at the main Commencement ceremony.
Madyson’s post graduate plans include starting her career with the Richmond Times-Dispatch as a public safety and courts reporter.
Madyson is also the great-niece of Ervin and Flora Clarke, publishers of Urban Views RVA.
