PETERSBURG, VA – The United Parents Against Lead (UPAL) and White House Solar has announced its solar panel installation training program to adhere to the organization’s commitment in providing safe, healthy, and environmentally- friendly programs to consumers in the state. Classes are scheduled to launch on August 29th through September 2, 2022.
This training initiative provides the 40 credit-hours required for the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners Photovoltaic (NABCEP PV) Associate Exams. Courses are created to introduce solar energy and energy storage in both theory and application to students in key concepts of solar PV design, installation, and safety.
Employers and customers can expect NABCEP Certification for installers, designers, inspectors, engineers, salespeople, and quality and management specialists. Immerging students can enter this course as an absolute beginner and leave with basic and advanced knowledge needed to stand out as a PV professional. Sessions begin at 9:00 am and all 5 classes must be attended to receive certification.
The training program will be held at 464 Byrne Street in Petersburg, Va. 23803.
Cost for the program is $500. Scholarships and Stipends are available on a first come basis.
United Parents Against Lead (UPAL) is a national networking organization for parents of lead poisoned children working to end the continuing threat of lead poisoning and other environmental hazards through education, awareness, advocacy, intervention and resource referral.
