Virginia Lottery reminds everyone to gamble responsibly. Most people have gambled at least once in their lives, and some do it regularly. The majority of people who choose to play games of chance can do so without ill effects. However, for some, gambling can be a harmful and destructive addiction.
March is designated as National Problem Gambling Awareness Month. The Virginia Lottery, in partnership with the Virginia Council on Problem Gambling, is reminding Virginians who chose to gamble to do so responsibly. Remember, it’s just a game.
Anyone who feels their gambling may have gotten out of hand, for themselves or a loved one, can contact the Virginia Problem Gambling Helpline: 888-532-3500. Call, text or chat. It’s free and confidential. Don’t let the game get out of hand.
