The Grand Canyon National Park is a top-rated attraction and a UNESCO World Heritage site. World Heritage Sites are designated by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to have cultural, historical, scientific, or other forms of significance. In addition, the sites are judged to contain cultural and natural heritage worldwide considered outstanding value to humanity.
Carved out by the Colorado River over five million years ago, the Grand Canyon is known for breathtaking views and stunning scenery.
Visitors can hike the canyon rim, white-water raft through the river, tour the canyon via horseback, or enjoy an aerial helicopter tour of the canyon.
Regardless of how you choose to see the Grand Canyon, be sure to visit at sunrise or sunset for spectacular views.
Australia is a country where a casual, friendly lifestyle overlaps with vibrant, cosmopolitan cities and fascinating landscapes, pristine beaches, rugged terrain, and unique wildlife. There is so much to see from the Outback to the Gold Coast! It’s the perfect place for those of you from the Northern Hemisphere to escape the winter blues because of its opposite seasons.
Perhaps one of the most remarkable natural landmarks is the 12 Apostles. Located just west of Melbourne, magnificent rock formations rise majestically out of the ocean down the Great Ocean Road. Once part of the land and slowly eroded over time, these rock stacks are almost 150 ft tall!
When you go on a tour along Australia’s Great Ocean Road, be sure to make a stop to see the 12 Apostles and snap a picture of these incredible structures.
The Indian Ocean is a string of 1190 islands that make up the Maldives. Known for their luxurious overwater bungalows, a trip to the Maldives is the ultimate romantic getaway. The island nation offers seclusion and adventurers looking to explore the depths of the sea.
Relax in your private bungalow with a pool floating just above the water. Go for a swim before breakfast and then bike around the islands or nap in a hammock suspended above the water. The beauty of the Maldives is something to behold; you can’t quite understand until you’re there in person.

Women’s History Month
March has been designated Women’s History Month. We are excited to celebrate Dr. Gladys West. Dr. West, an American mathematician, played a role in developing the satellite geodesy models. These models were integrated into the Global Positioning System (known as GPS). The GPS helps you navigate whenever you use your mobile device’s map functions to get directions.
I was honored to spend time with Dr. West chatting with her about her extraordinary accomplishments.
She still resides in Virginia, and she has published her memoirs, “It Began With A Dream.”
