The Grace E. Harris Leadership Institute of the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs at Virginia Commonwealth University has announced the Speaker Line-up for their 15th Annual HIGHER Ground Women’s Leadership Conference, set to be held virtually on Friday, November 5, 2021. The Conference, Pivoting Forward: The LeaderSHIFT, will explore the opportunities that have emerged over the past year from unprecedented environmental uncertainty, encouraging women leaders to reflect on how to capitalize on the “leadershifts” that have transpired to pivot forward.
The 15th Annual HIGHER Ground Women’s Leadership Conference provides exceptional educational and networking opportunities for influential women across the country. Each year, more than 300 women participate to illuminate innovative leadership practices and explore factors that influence their effectiveness at work, at home, and in their communities. The one-day, virtual conference features virtual plenary sessions with national and regional speakers highlighting timely issues of importance to women.
Nakeina E. Douglas-Glenn, Ph.D., director of The Grace E. In addition, plenary sessions will discuss key considerations for organizations where women lead in the areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion; preparing for the next generation of impactful women’s leadership; and the essential needs of women in the workforce.
