While on the way home from church on the church van, an 89-year-old African American grandmother was told “no” when she asked to use the bathroom at a gas station after the church van had a flat tire. She was told that the bathrooms were for employees only. After being turned away, the Grandmother was forced to relieve herself on the grass near the gas station. Why couldn’t this 89-year-old grandmother just be allowed to use the bathroom?
What’s your take? Whatever happened to common courtesy and honoring and respecting our elders?
