Richmond Black Restaurant Experience Promotes Food Tourism and Diversity

Richmond restaurateurs are busily preparing to showcase their culinary creations for this year’s Richmond Black Restaurant Experience presented by Dominion Energy – March 4-11, 2018.

Where Culture Meets Cuisine

The celebration (formerly Richmond Black Restaurant Week), organized by minority business supporters, is designed to promote economic diversity while celebrating Richmond’s best food fare. Last year over 26,000 people experienced Richmond Black Restaurant Week, bringing in over $475,000 in total sales and more importantly, creating 17 new jobs.

“We are excited about continuing to celebrate our city’s diversity and all it has to offer.  Highlighting the impact that our participating businesses have on Richmond’s budding dining scene in creative ways, is essential to boosting our local economy.” says Amy Wentz, one of the event organizers.

Richmond Black Restaurant Experience is once again partnering with Renew Richmond as its local, non-profit beneficiary to raise awareness and highlight this impactful organization that serves underprivileged communities by building solutions around Urban Agriculture and Community Gardening.
