A recent poll revealed that about three quarters of Americans identify with a Christian faith. 37% of respondents identify as highly religious based on their self reports of church attendance and the importance of religion in their lives, while 33% identify as not religious at all. It is notable that almost half of those who identify as highly religious approve of the current President. 45’s approval rate is 64% among highly religious whites, twice as high as it is among whites who are not religious. There is little relationship between religion and views of 45 among nonwhites;
